About This Work
I am Kimberly Salamone, and I have spent nearly a decade working in substance use prevention, inpatient and outpatient treatment, and public health. I have analyzed data on thousands of overdose deaths, coordinated care for people seeking recovery, and witnessed both the devastating impact of addiction and the incredible resilience of the human spirit.
But this work is also deeply personal. In 2017, I lost my fiance Jonathan to an accidental drug overdose. His death transformed my understanding of this crisis from professional to profoundly personal. This site honors his memory while offering practical tools for anyone navigating recovery, supporting a loved one, or simply seeking to reconnect with themselves.
Jonathan does not want us to cry for him. He wants us to fight for him.
My Approach
Person-Centered Care
Through my work at CleanSlate Centers and various treatment facilities, I learned that sustainable recovery happens when we meet people where they are—without judgment, coercion, or one-size-fits-all solutions. Every journey is unique.
Evidence-Based Practice
My background in public health, data analysis, and ASAM criteria ensures that every resource I create is grounded in best practices. But I also know that numbers do not capture the full human experience.
Mind-Body-Spirit Connection
Recovery touches every aspect of who we are. The resources here integrate reflection, emotional processing, and practical skill-building to address the whole person.
Harm Reduction and Hope
Whether you are working toward abstinence, managed use, or simply trying to stay alive today—you deserve dignity, support, and resources. Progress is not linear, and every step forward matters.
